FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

I live in the United States. Specifically, in beautiful Chicago, Illinois, in the Rogers Park area. 

MUST I BE LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES TO USE YOUR SERVICES?

No, I'm willing to accept clients from all over the world, but please remember that I work in Central time, that I observe all national holidays, and that all payments must be in the form of USD.

WHAT HOURS DO YOU WORK?

I am generally available to answer emails from 9am to 5pm Central time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Turnaround time is 24 hours or less for most tasks; should a task require more time (such as a large research project), I will let you know as soon as possible when to expect it to be finished. I give all my clients end-of-week reports regarding hours utilization and time remaining in the billing cycle.

HOW DO YOU STORE SENSITIVE INFORMATION? HOW DO YOU TRACK HOURS?

All sensitive information is stored in LastPass, which is encrypted on a cloud server for maximum security.

Hours are tracked and invoiced using the Harvest time tracking application.

ARE ALL YOUR PLANS MONTHLY?

Yes, but if you need something different (a number of hours per week, a project paid for hourly, etc.), please contact me for a consultation and we can discuss creating a custom plan that suits your needs.

CAN I USE ALL MY TIME UP IN ONE DAY OR ONE WEEK INSTEAD OF THE FULL MONTH?

The short answer is no. My availability is based on the number of hours in your plan divided by how many working days are in the month. For example, if you have a 16-hour plan, I can guarantee around one hour of my time each day to be dedicated to your tasks. If I happen to have the availability to spend more time on them, then I will, but it isn't a guarantee.

WHAT IF I FIND THAT I HAVE TOO MANY HOURS (OR NOT ENOUGH)?

You have the option to upgrade or downgrade plans at the end of each month based on current prices and availability. If you're unsure about how many hours you'll need, start with the 8-hour plan; if you end up needing more or less, we can adjust your plan accordingly either at the end of your billing cycle or once all hours have been utilized.

 

WILL MY UNUSED HOURS ROLL OVER TO THE NEXT MONTH OF SERVICE?

Unfortunately, no. All hours must be used within the month that they are purchased.

 

HOW DO YOU CHARGE FOR YOUR SERVICES?

Currently, I invoice all clients via Harvest using PayPal and Stripe. This may change in the future.
